Appointments can be made either by telephone, online or by coming into the reception desk (Due to Covid we are advising patients not to attend the surgery unless specifically told to by a clinician). You can either book an urgent on the day appointment (if available & if it is an emergency) or go for a pre-bookable appointment.
We always try to minimise the waiting time for you and, whilst we try to see you at the appointed time, some patients’ appointments may take longer than the time allocated, so please be patient if there is some delay.
We will also try to give you an appointment with the doctor that you prefer, but it may not always be possible. It’s also advisable that you should try to see the same doctor during the course of the same illness.
We offer same day access for acutely unwell children less than 12 years old registered at the practice. This includes the provision of early morning appointments for children unwell through the night and late afternoon appointments for children who have deteriorated throughout the day.
Please always attend your appointment on time and if you are unable to keep your appointment then please remember to call us as soon as possible. By doing this, you will be helping us to make more appointments available for you and other patients.
Hollyhurst holds a morning surgery at from 7.15am on a Thursday and a Late night surgery on a Friday up until 6pm. There is a further late night surgery at Elvaston Road Surgery on a Tuesday until 7pm.
