Don’t forget your flu jab – our flu clinics for 65+ and under 65 in “at risk” groups will be held on Thursday 24th September at Hollyhurst surgery and 25th September at Elvaston surgery. Please contact the surgery to arrange your appointment. Please arrive on time, our Practice Nurse or HCA will collect you from the front entrance when they have been informed of your arrival.

Flu is an unpredictable virus that can cause mild illness in most people.
It can cause severe illness and even death among vulnerable groups including older people, pregnant women and people with an underlying health condition.
For otherwise healthy people flu can be very unpleasant, however most people will recover from flu within a week or two.
The flu vaccination is for those patients who are in “at risk” groups, namely;
- Over 65
- IHD and Heart Failure
- Pregnant Ladies
- Autoimmune Disease
